Greetings 2026

Spread the love

It has been an exciting year for Green’s Mill Historical Bridge. We started moving forward with our plans for making this a great venue to visit when you’re in the Ozarks.

We completed Phase 1 by providing ample parking on both ends of the bridge, moved the guard rails to the side of the east parking area; added bollards at each end of the bridge, a trash container for our visitors, mowing the surrounding area, and a manicured walkway to the water (still taking bids on laying in riprap for water access). We finished 2025 with a beautiful paver brick patio. We are continuing to take orders for engraved bricks that will be laid in the patio this spring.

In 2026 we will continue with phase 2 by putting out benches for your comfort while visiting the bridge, making crossing the bridge accessible to everyone by laying down stretched steel walkways down both sides of the decking while leaving the center of the bridge open steel grate for those who enjoy looking down to the water below. We will be installing bat houses and bluebird houses along with planting native grasses and flowers on the west end of the parking lot. Kiosk will be placed at both ends of the bridge area displaying pictures and information about this beautiful old bridge. Looming in our future will be painting the bridge. The bridge hasn’t been painted in several years and needs to be done to aid in preservation of the steel. We’re taking bids from contractors who would be willing to tackle this project. The cost will be very pricey so please consider helping us with your donation

We have moved the date of our annual Support Our Bridge Trivia Night to May 2nd to accommodate other players. We’ve also added a Paint Night scheduled for July 25th. More information will be posted on our website and Facebook.

Hope to see you at the Bridge! It’s going to be an exciting year.
